Family is important to all of us at the Reidsville Family YMCA. We have after school childcare available at three local elementary schools, we offer a child watch program while you exercise, and we offer a variety of family activities. Some of our family activities include family swim, youth overnights, and family fun nights. Come join OUR family at the Reidsville Family YMCA!

Give A "Bright Beginning" for the New School Year and Waive Your Joining Fee!

The YMCA of Greensboro's Bright Beginnings program helps approximately 500 children with new school clothes, supplies, and a book bag to help children in-need start the year with confidence for success. Volunteer opportunities include shopping with children, making a cash donation to support the shopping trips, and donations of basic school supplies and new book bags. Older teens may volunteer with their parent to help shop with a child. Families with children may volunteer to help stuff book bags with school supplies.

In honor of this program, through August 15th, non-members of the Y can join one of our branches in the Greensboro association and have their joining fee waived with donation of a new book bag. We will also waive the joining fee with a $25 donation to the Bright Beginnings program. Thank you for your support! Let's work together as one community.

NASHVILLE FLOOD RELIEF

As many of you know the recent floods in Nashville, Tennessee have hit many hard. Included in that are many pre-schools and nurseries who have lost all their children's books. With the help of Vanderbilt University Library we are collecting new & gently used children's books that will be sent to many pre-schools and nurseries in Nashville. We ask that you donate these books to your local Greensboro YMCA by May 28th.

Thank you for your help in getting these children's lives back to normal after a devastating experience.

Please contact Elizabeth Minehart at 478-9631 for more information.
